Compatibility round-up - November 2021

Compatibility round-up - November 2021

2 minute read

The past month has seen significant releases in both operating systems and Adobe Illustrator. This is an overview of Astute Graphics' plugins and Astute Manager compatibility.

Operating systems

The plugins and Astute Manager are compatible with:

  • macOS 10.10 to 12 (Monterey)

  • Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and 11

Note: we plan to deprecate compatibility for macOS 10.10 and 10.11, Windows 7 and 8.1 in the near future. Adobe's recent Creative Cloud releases are no longer compatible with these. We will endeavour to keep as much backward compatibility as possible, but practically, we need to ask the user to ensure they have updated to more recent systems to ensure secure connection via the Astute Manager.

Adobe Illustrator

The plugins and Astute Manager are compatible with:

  • Illustrator CC v17.1 to 2022

How to update

All current subscribers can benefit today with these simple steps:

  1. Install the latest Illustrator 2022 (v26) via the Creative Cloud. We recommend that you do not copy settings across from previous versions of Illustrator and, just in case, you keep previous versions. Refer to Adobe documentation for details.

  2. In the Astute Manager, detect the newly installed version of Adobe Illustrator. See our support page Detecting and adding plugins to new installations of Illustrator

Legacy customers and grandfathered Annual Service Plan customers

The latest updates are available to all active subscribers. You can benefit from our continuous updates by simply re-subscribing via your Astute Graphics account page.
