How to update your Astute Manager

2 minute read • Last updated 2020-09-04

This article describes how to update a previously-installed instance of the Astute Manager.

Important notes regarding Astute Manager v2

  1. With the release of Astute Manager v2, it's now essential to ensure you've upgraded from v1 to at least v2.01 in order to access your plugins whether you're an original Annual Service Plan customers or a (re-)subscriber.
  2. The Astute Manager v1.1.3 and v2.0.1 and above feature self-update feature which ensures the Astute Manager software (not the plugins) is always up to date. If you are on these versions or above, you should not need to manually update the Astute Manager, but there would be no harm in doing so if you wished.

By ensuring you have the latest Astute Manager installed, you can also be certain of maximum operating system compatibility such as macOS Catalina.

Once you upgrade to Astute Manager v2, it is not normally necessary to update the Astute Manager to access the latest subscription plugins. For further support on how to operate the Astute Manager, please refer to our dedicated support pages for the software.
